TACOMA — Norichika Aoki and Guillermo Heredia each had three hits as the Tacoma Rainiers blasted the Las Vegas 51s 9-1 in Pacific Coast League baseball Friday night.
The Rainiers (45-35) came up with 13 hits to back the seven strong innings pitched by Cody Martin, who didn’t allow an earned run in seven innings to the 51s (42-38) and allowed just five hits with six strikeouts and two walks.
Rob Brantly had a homer for the Rainiers.
