WASHINGTON (Sinclair Broadcast Group) — After reports that homeowners are having difficulty selling the house used as the home of serial killer Buffalo Bill in the film "Silence of the Lambs," People for the Ethical Treatment of Animals (PETA) has come forward with a unique and somewhat disturbing proposal.
In the 1991 film, based on a Thomas Harris novel, the killer wears his victims' skin, which PETA describes as not "far removed from the reality of what animals who are killed for their skin endure."
The owners of the house, in Fayette County, Pennsylvania, have been trying to sell it since last summer and recently dropped the asking price from $300,000 to $250,000.
