HILLSBORO, Ore. — Runs in the opening two innings didn’t hold up for the Everett AquaSox, who dropped a 3-2 decision to Hillsboro in Northwest League baseball Saturday.

Johmbeyker Morales had a double in the first inning for Everett (14-15) and later scored on a sacrifice fly. In the second inning, the AquaSox went up 2-0 on a solo homer by Kristian Brito.

The Hops (15-14) won it in the seventh when Connor Owings hit a run-scoring triple and then scored on a single by Adam Walton.
