Morning Mariners report: Manager Scott Servais discusses new-look bullpen

Of all changes to the roster made by general manager Jerry Dipoto in the offseason, the overhaul of the bullpen and relief pitching depth was perhaps the most dramatic.

From the season-ending 40-man roster, only lefties Charlie Furbush, Vidal Nuno and David Rollins and right-handers Tony Zych and Mayckol Guaipe remain. Nuno was a midseason acquisition and Zych was picked up in a spring training trade and not even invited to big league camp.

The new faces?

  • RHP Steve Cishek
  • RHP Joaquin Benoit
  • RHP Ryan Cook
  • RHP Justin De Fratus
  • RHP Evan Scribner
  • RHP Cody Martin
  • RHP Jonathan Aro

Dipoto also brought in right-handers Joel Peralta, Casey Coleman and Blake Parker on minor league deals for additional organizational depth.
