ARLINGTON -- Leonys Martin did some running at Globe Life Park prior to Friday's series opener against his former Rangers team to test his strained left hamstring, but Mariners manager Scott Servais said the hyperactive center fielder had already put his injured leg through a rigorous workout while rooting on his teammates in Thursday's 16-13 come-from-behind win over the Padres.
"He stood and jumped around the whole game last night," Servais said. "He probably had to go in the cold tub after the game and ice everything down, including his tonsils."
Servais and several Mariners players mentioned Martin's animated support as one of the driving forces in the 10-run comeback.
