Mariners walk off vs. Rangers in 11th inning

SEATTLE -- Replacing Robinson Cano's bat wasn't an issue for one night, as the Mariners outslugged the Rangers, 9-8, in 11 innings in the opener of a two-game series on Tuesday night at Safeco Field.

Three straight one-out singles in the 11th off reliever Alex Claudio lifted the Mariners to the walk-off win, with Guillermo Heredia plating Ryon Healy from second for the winning run.

Even wIth Cano suspended until mid-August and designated hitter Nelson Cruz leaving the game after sustaining a bruised foot when he was hit by a pitch in the fourth, the Mariners' offense kept producing.
