Hours after right-hander Taijuan Walker was forced to leave Sunday's start in Boston with lingering tendinitis in his right foot, the Mariners traded Rainiers shortstop Chris Taylor to the Dodgers in exchange for Triple-A Oklahoma starter Zach Lee.
The move, announced by general manager Jerry Dipoto, comes after Mariners manager Scott Servais expressed concern that Walker won't be able make his next start. If Walker is placed on the 15-day disabled list, he'll join fellow starters Felix Hernandez (right calf strain) and left-hander Wade Miley (left shoulder impingement).
Walker was forced to leave his previous outing after 3 1/3 innings because of pain in his right arch.
