SURPRISE, Ariz. — The Mariners dropped Saturday night’s ballgame at Surprise Stadium by a 6–5 score against the Texas Rangers. The Mariners tallied 10 hits, with eight of their nine starters reaching base safely, but could not get it done as Texas won in comeback fashion.
The Mariners came out swinging in this one, attacking Texas starting pitcher Wes Benjamin for three runs in the top of the first.
