Mariners signs former Mets’ reliever to fill out 40-man roster | The News Tribune

The Seattle Mariners claimed right-handed pitcher Chasen Bradford off waivers to round out their 40-man roster, team general manager Jerry Dipoto announced on Friday.

The New York Mets designated the 28-year-old for assignment on Wednesday. Bradford made his MLB debut last season and went 2-0 with a 3.74 ERA. The reliever was 1-1 with 11 saves and 4.04 ERA last season with Triple-A Las Vegas.

In seven seasons in the minors, Bradford is 28-20 with a 3.48 ERA. Bradford grew up and attended high school in Nevada. He played two years in for the College of Southern Nevada and another two for the University of Central Florida.
