PEORIA, Ariz. — Seattle Mariners President of Baseball Operations Jerry Dipoto announced today the following roster move:
· Billy Hamilton (#4), OF, signed to a minor league contract with an invitation to Major League Spring Training.
Hamilton, 31, appeared in 71 games with the Chicago White Sox in 2021, including 67 games in the outfield, making 28 starts. He played all three outfield spots and stole 9 bases in 9 attempts. The switch-hitting outfielder has stolen 314 bases in his career, second-most of any active player (Elvis Andrus, 317).
