PEORIA, Ariz. — Seattle Mariners President of Baseball Operations Jerry Dipoto announced today that minor league right-handed pitcher Connor Phillips has been chosen as the Player to be Named Later (PTBNL) in the trade that brought infielder Eugenio Suárez and outfielder Jesse Winker to Seattle. The trade also sent RHP Justin Dunn, OF Jake Fraley and minor league LHP Brandon Williamson to Cincinnati on March 14.
Phillips, 20, was selected by the Mariners in the 2nd round of the 2020 MLB First-Year Player Draft out of McLennan Community College (Waco, TX).
