SEATTLE, Wash. — After selecting Elon University right-hander George Kirby with the 20th overall pick in the 2019 MLB Draft, the Mariners wrapped up Day 1 of the draft with two more picks.
The Mariners selected left-handed pitcher Brandon Williamson from Texas Christian University with their 2nd round selection (59th overall pick) and right-hander Isaiah Campbell from the University of Arkansas with their Competitive Balance Round B selection (76th overall pick), Director of Amateur Scouting Scott Hunter announced tonight.
Williamson, 21, went 4–5 with a 4.
