Wayne Norton’s lifetime in baseball is being honored with one of the highest honors in his native country of Canada.
The Canadian Baseball Hall of Fame announced on Tuesday that Norton – a long-time Mariners’ scout – and five others had been elected to join the 2016 class for indcution, which will take place on Saturday, June 18 in St. Marys, Ontario.
Joining Norton will be former Blue Jays pitcher Pat Hentgen, former Expos pitcher Dennis Martinez, longtime Blue Jays executive Howard Starkman, former Blue Jays TV analyst Tony Kubek and Canada baseball pioneer William Shuttleworth (posthumous induction)
