If you only caught the first two games of the Seattle Mariners' four game series against the Texas Rangers, you probably thought the team was back on track after a pair of solid wins.
That's probably a fun headspace to be in, but the subsequent contests proved very quickly that Seattle isn't likely to return to their early-season form. Since then, the Ms have lost four straight, including 14-1 and 15-1 blowouts at the hands of a fairly average Rangers team. A two-game interleague series against the Chicago Cubs didn't go much better: Seattle was swept, with Wednesday's game being a particularly one-sided 11-0 blowout.
