Baron, 25, hit .280 (65×232) with 35 runs, 7 doubles, 1 triple, 3 home runs, 22 RBI, 34 walks and 3 stolen bases in 67 games with AA Jackson and also appeared in 1 game with AAA Tacoma (June 30-July 1). In eight minor league seasons with the Mariners, he hit .234 (464×1982) with 222 runs, 108 doubles, 13 triples, 26 home runs and 228 RBI in 554 games. He was originally drafted by Seattle in the 1st round (33rd overall) of the 2009 First-Year Player Draft out of John A.
