TAMPA, Fla. — Seattle Mariners President of Baseball Operations Jerry Dipoto announced today the following roster moves:
- Luis Torrens, C, reinstated from Injured List.
- Mike Ford, INF, optioned to Triple-A Tacoma (postgame 4/24); designated for assignment (4/25).
Seattle’s Major League, 40-man, remains full at 40 players.
Torrens, 25, was placed on the Injured List on April 19. Prior to his IL placement, he appeared in 4 games with the Mariners, batting .231 (3x13) and hitting safely in 3 of 4 games. He’s started at catcher in 3 games (4/10, 4/12, 4/17).
