SEATTLE, Wash. — Seattle Mariners Executive Vice President & General Manager of Baseball Operations Justin Hollander announced today that catcher Brian O’Keefe was reinstated from the Paternity List and optioned to Triple-A Tacoma.
O’Keefe, 30, was placed on the Paternity List on Tuesday, Sept. 12. He appeared in 8 games with the Mariners after being selected from Triple-A Tacoma on August 16, batting .105 (2x19) with 2 doubles and 2 RBI. He also has appeared in 86 games with the Rainiers this season, batting .240 (80x333) with 59 runs, 24 doubles, 22 home runs, 65 RBI and 42 walks.
