MINNEAPOLIS — The Mariners made another switch in their bullpen in a move that’s become pretty common this season. Seattle recalled right-hander Casey Lawrence from Class AAA Tacoma to work in the long relief role in the bullpen. To make room for Lawrence, right-handed reliever Emilio Pagan, who was serving in that role, was optioned to Class AAA Tacoma after Sunday’s game in which he pitched four scoreless innings and struck out five in a 4-0 loss to the Blue Jays.
