Mariners General Manager of Baseball Operations Jerry Dipoto announced today the following roster moves:
· Tuffy Gosewisch, C, recalled from AAA Tacoma.
· Mike Zunino, C, optioned to AAA Tacoma.
Gosewisch (#7) will be in uniform and available for tonight’s (7:10 p.m. PT) game vs. the Texas Rangers at Safeco Field.
Gosewisch, 33, reached base safely in all 16 games with an at-bat with AAA Tacoma, including 11 games with at least 1 hit. Overall he is batting .240 (12x50) with 5 runs scored, 4 doubles, 7 RBI and 8 walks in 17 games with the Rainiers.
