SAN DIEGO -- The Mariners recalled right-hander Cody Martin from Triple-A Tacoma on Thursday and designated veteran reliever Joel Peralta for assignment.
Martin joined the team Thursday afternoon and was available for their series finale against the Padres at Petco Park.
Martin, 26, was 5-3 with a 5.67 ERA in 12 games for Tacoma, including eight starts. He pitched 25 games for the Braves and A's last year with a combined ERA of 7.92.
In his past five appearances for Tacoma, including one start, the former Gonzaga University hurler went 1-1 with a 3.
