ARLINGTON -- Homers by Robinson Cano and Mitch Haniger in a five-run seventh inning helped the Mariners wage a 9-7 comeback win over the Rangers on Saturday night, continuing an offensive awakening that began the previous night.
Cano paced the Mariners with three hits, three runs and two RBIs on his go-ahead homer in the seventh.
The Mariners also prevailed despite a subpar outing from starter James Paxton, who lasted four innings but, like his Rangers counterpart Bartolo Colon, did not figure in the decision.
