SEATTLE, Wash. — Seattle Mariners President of Baseball Operations Jerry Dipoto announced today the following roster move:
- Jake Bauers, INF/OF, cleared waivers and outrighted to Triple-A Tacoma.
Bauers, 26, batted .220 (40x182) with 20 runs, 4 doubles, 2 home runs, 13 RBI, 6 stolen bases and 18 walks in 72 games with the Mariners in 2021. He was acquired by Seattle from Cleveland on June 10 in exchange for a player to be named later (RHP Damon Casetta-Stubbs).
On Sept. 19 at Kansas City, his 460-foot home run off Jackson Kowar was the farthest home run hit by a Mariners left-handed batter in the Statcast era (since 2015).
