Seattle Mariners Executive Vice President & General Manager of Baseball Operations Jerry Dipoto announced today that the club has outrighted infielder Zach Vincej to AAA Tacoma.
Seattle’s 40-man roster currently stands at 36.
Vincej (pronounced VINCE-ee), 26, was claimed off waivers from Cincinnati on Nov. 3. He made his Major League debut with the Reds in 2017, appearing in 9 games and going 1-for-9 (.111) with 2 runs. The 6-foot, 190-pound shortstop spent most of the 2017 season with AAA Louisville, where he hit .270 (102x378) with 36 runs, 21 doubles, 4 triples, 3 home runs and 38 RBI in 110 games.
