Mariners General Manager Jerry Dipoto announced today that the club has outrighted catcher Tuffy Gosewisch to AAA Tacoma.
The Mariners Major League, 40-man roster is currently at 38 players.
Gosewisch, 33, has spent the majority of the season with AAA, but also appeared in 11 games with Seattle (May 5–21) this season. In 65 games with the Rainiers, he hit .219 (47x215) with 22 runs scored, 18 doubles, 4 home runs, 28 RBI and 26 walks. He threw out 17-of-51 baserunners (33.3%), which is the 3rd-highest caught stealing percentage in the Pacific Coast League this season among qualifying catchers.
