KANSAS CITY — The Mariners now officially have four players from their expected opening day lineup on the disabled list with an assortment of injuries.
The latest person to join the party — no word if they have matching jackets — is first baseman Ryon Healy, who was placed on the 10-day disabled list on Monday afternoon with a right ankle sprain. The move was expected after Healy arrived at Target Field on Sunday morning on crutches with his right foot in a walking boot.
Besides Healy, left fielder Ben Gamel (oblique strain), Nelson Cruz (right ankle sprain) and Mike Zunino (oblique strain) are also on the disabled list.
