MINNEAPOLIS--Jack Zduriencik was busy at the trade deadline dealing two established pitchers in Mark Lowe and J.A. Happ for four pitchers with years of club control remaining. Gone is a starter and one of the best right-handed relievers in the game and on their way to Minnesota are Rob Rasmussen who was part of the Lowe deal and Jose Ramirez who was one of the players acquired for Dustin Ackley. They join Jesus Montero and Ketel Marte who arrived at Target Field today and are in the lineup.
"Obviously we have gotten a lot younger," said Lloyd McClendon.
