Mariners notebook: Mike Montgomery a key part to bullpen’s strong start

The Mariners struggle continues with runners in scoring position as they went 0 for 10 in the loss Tuesday night. On the flip side, the opposition hasn’t done much lately either with Mariners pitchers holding opponents to an .068 average, allowing just three hits in 44 at bats with RISP the past four games.

On Tuesday night it was Mike Montgomery coming up with the big out with runners in scoring position.
