Mariners notebook: Manager Scott Servais wants players to put down their iPads

PEORIA, Ariz. -- As part of an ongoing mission to promote team chemistry, first-year Mariners manager Scott Servais said Tuesday he'd prefer it if players don't immediately immerse themselves in their electronic devices when they enter the clubhouse.

"Guys are all wired differently. You don't expect all 25 to go out to dinner every night," Servais said. "I'm a realist in that matter, but you know there's different pockets within the team. The bullpen kind of has it's own little identity. The starting pitchers tend to hang together. The position players -- there's a group of them that hang together.
