SAN FRANCISCO--As expected James Jones has joined the ball club. Jones has been recalled from Triple-A Tacoma to take the place of Danny Farquhar who was officially optioned back to Tacoma earlier today.
Jones has hit .264 with (46x174) with 29 runs, 6 doubles, 4 triples, 1 home run, 13 RBI and 15 stolen bases in 48 games. His bat has heated up a bit recently as he has hit .342 in the month of June. Triple-A numbers rarely transfer straight to the big leagues but Jones brings much more according to Lloyd McClendon.
"Jones brings speed, defense in the outfield, hopefully a spark in a different way for us," he said.
