MINNEAPOLIS--When J.A. Happ was traded to the Pirates it was widely assumed that Roenis Elias would take his spot in the rotation. That very well may have been the plan but last night Elias allowed 6 runs on 5 hits and a balk in two-thirds of an inning. To top things off he was ejected from the game after being taken out. In his previous outing he gave up 7 earned runs although 4 of the runs were given up in the 7th inning. Regardless, not the kind of performances that should earn a player a callup to the big leagues.
