Starter Darren McCaughan (5.2,7,2,2,2,5) allowed 2 run on 7 hits while walking 2 and striking out 5 over 5.2 innings, but did not factor into the decision. Relievers Kyle Bird (0.1,1,0,0,1,1), RH Matt Koch (1.0,0,0,0,0,3) and RH Penn Murfee (2.0,0,0,0,2,5) combined to allow only 1 hit while walking 3 and striking out 9 over 3.1 innings in relief. Bird earned his first win of the season, while Murfee picked up the save with a scoreless 8th and 9th innings.
