At the risk of being overly grandiose, going to a baseball game is a transcendental experience. An alien might look at a baseball game and be puzzled. After all, baseball is at its core a game of dudes throwing a little white ball, and trying to hit it with a stick, and sometimes (but rarely) running in circles, and mostly just standing around. What makes it matter are the dudes themselves and what it means to the people watching.

Many of the 40,000 people thronging in the concourses and the ‘Pen of T-Mobile Park today were there to celebrate the team’s Pride Night.
