Mariners will go with Norichika Aoki, Shawn O’Malley and Stefen Romero to take over in center field
It’s going to be a noticeable absence for the Mariners. Leonys Martin going on the disabled list Friday causes plenty of problems from an offensive and defensive standpoint. Martin is not eligible to return until June 10, so he will miss 14 games.
“I think he’ll be good to go when the 15 days are up,” Seattle manager Scott Servais said.
After Martin was checked out by the Mariners’ team doctors and medical staff Friday, it was determined he would miss about seven to 10 days.
