SEATTLE -- A day after he was supposed to pitch in his first rehab outing, Seattle Mariners reliever Nick Vincent was back on course Monday as he works his way back from a groin injury.
Vincent had originally been scheduled to get some rehab work at Class A Modesto on Sunday, but Mariners manager Scott Servais said that the right-hander opted to push that back so pitching coach Mel Stottlemyre Jr. could watch him throw.
Servais added that Vincent threw a bullpen session with Stottlemyre on Monday prior to the Mariners' contest against the Los Angeles Angels.
