We’re all familiar with split squad days in spring training; a couple times per March, teams will play a home and away game at the same time, keeping half of camp at their respective facility while sending the other half across town. Often, only one game - if that - will be viewable, but tonight we were treated to the option of having two Mariners games on our screens at the same time, a feat previously unheard of.
Unfortunately, the double helping was still a bit skimpy.
The road game against the Diamondbacks started out promising, with starter Merrill Kelly shaky out of the gate.
