The Seattle Mariners (22-17) beat the AL’s best Baltimore Orioles (24-14) today at Camden Yards. Nate Karns (4-1, 3.33 ERA) was the winning pitcher for the Mariners. Tyler Wilson (2-2, 3.68 ERA) took the loss for the Orioles. With the win, the Mariners improved their road record to 15-7, the best in baseball.
Nate Karn’s curveball was working early and remained effective throughout the game. He retired the first five batters in a row before giving up a single to Johnathn Schoop in the second inning. Schoop eventually scored on a double by Pedro Alvarez.
