The Family Trip continues with Game 2 of the 2024 Veder Cup. The Mariners, with their wives and children in tow, will try to score at least seven runs twice in a row for the first time in 2024. But it’s been a road trip of firsts already, with Cal Raleigh becoming the first player to homer from both sides of the plate twice as a Mariner and Gregory Santos making his first appearance in 2024.
On the latter point, wowzer. I loved him in 2023 and was extremely excited about the trade for him, but I didn’t really have a take on him as a person/entertainer until last night.
