The Mariners should have the advantage on the pitching side at least, sending Luis Castillo to the mound tonight to oppose journeyman reliever-turned-starter Reynaldo López. Even as a starter, López still pitches with largely a relief-typical profile of primarily fastball-slider, so the Mariners should have the opportunity to damage some fastballs if they can be disciplined enough to lay off the sliders.
