After a blessedly brief three-game dud of a series in San Francisco, the Mariners are right back home to start a two-series homestand against their AL West rivals, the Astros and the Rangers. The new-look Astros are up first, although we have to wait until tomorrow to see Jose Altuve, Left Fielder.

The Astros will be starting Hayden Wesneski, an Astros pitching project who was a reliever with the Cubs but has transitioned back into the starting rotation with Houston. The Astros have seemingly adjusted Wesneski’s pitch mix, increasing his use of changeups this spring, and given the Mariners’ poor performance on that pitch in particular, I wouldn’t be surprised to see a lot of them tonight.
