PEORIA, Ariz. — The Mariners defeated the Los Angeles Dodgers by a 7–3 score on Monday night at Peoria Stadium. The Mariners hit three home runs and five extra-base hits in a five-run fifth inning, leading them to victory and getting above the .500 mark in Cactus League play.
Justus Sheffield made his team-leading fourth start for the Mariners, pitching 4.2 innings and allowing two runs on four hits, walking three and striking out five.
