16 of 26 non-roster invitees were members of the Mariners organization in 2020
SEATTLE, Wash. — Seattle Mariners Executive Vice President & General Manager of Baseball Operations Jerry Dipoto announced today the club has invited 26 non-roster players to Major League Spring Training.
Of the 26 players that have been added to the spring training roster (in addition to the 40-man roster), 16 were members of the Mariners organization last season and 12 are homegrown products having been originally drafted or signed by Seattle. Furthermore, of the 26 invited players, three were named to Baseball America’s Top-100 Prospects List earlier in January: outfielder Julio Rodriguez (u21163), outfielder Jarred Kelenic (u21164) and right-handed pitcher Logan Gilbert (u211635).
