The Seattle Mariners administration is bringing its janitorial services in-house, ending its contract with Aramark Sports and Entertainment, which has provided those services since Safeco Field opened in 1999.
The move affects 78 employees beginning Dec. 31, according to a WARN notice from Washington state’s Employment Security Department.
Those employees have the chance to interview for open positions with the Mariners, said Joe Myhra, the Mariners’ vice president of ballpark operations.
