PEORIA, Ariz. — The Mariners and Cubs finished in a 9–9 stalemate in today’s Cactus League finale at Peoria Stadium. Seattle’s offense stayed hot in front of 11,059 fans — its largest home crowd of 2024 Spring Training.
The Mariners offense tallied nine runs on 14 hits, seven of the extra-base variety. Mitch Haniger went 2-for-3 with a double and home run, his team-leading fifth homer of the spring. Haniger finished Cactus League play with a .429 batting average (15x35), three doubles, the five homers and seven RBI with a 1.430 OPS.
Luke Raley also recorded a pair of extra-base hits, tallying a double, triple and three runs batted in.
