SEATTLE, Wash. — Seattle Mariners Executive Vice President & General Manager of Baseball Operations Jerry Dipoto announced the following roster moves:
· Phil Ervin, OF, claimed off waivers from Cincinnati.
· Walker Lockett, RHP, added to the active roster.
With the addition of Lockett, the Mariners active roster is now full at 28 players.
Seattle’s Major League, 40-man, roster is now at 36 players.
Ervin, 28, was designated for assignment by Cincinnati on Aug. 28. The 5-foot-10, 207-pound outfielder hit .086 (3x35) with 5 runs scored, 1 HBP, 6 walks and 1 stolen base in 19 games with the Reds this season.
