SEATTLE, Wash. — Seattle Mariners Executive Vice President & General Manager of Baseball Operations Jerry Dipoto announced today that the Mariners have claimed infielder/outfielder Sam Haggerty off waivers from New York-NL.
Seattle’s 40-man roster is now full at 40 players.
Haggerty, 25, was designated for assignment by New York-NL on December 24 and placed on unconditional release waivers January 8. The switch-hitting utilityman made his Major League debut on Sept. 4, 2019 at Washington and played in a total of 11 games with the Mets, scoring a pair of runs in 4 plate appearances.
