Mariners blanked again in Boston

BOSTON — It’s hard to get shut out on consecutive days. And at Fenway Park? It seems like an impossibility.

Even some of the Mariners’ light-hitting teams of recent past never suffered through something like this.

For the second straight day, the Mariners were shut out in a 6-0 loss. They are the first team in club history to be shut out on back to back days in Boston.

It’s not as if they were facing Chris Sale or David Price or Rick Porcello, though they will face him Sunday.
