Less than a week after he reported shoulder stiffness following a throwing session, left-hander Danny Hultzen was re-assigned to minor-league camp Saturday night along with fellow southpaw Brad Mills and outfielder Mike Baxter.
The Mariners then continued to rearrange their roster Sunday morning, optioning Cuban center fielder Guillermo Heredia to Double-A Jackson and re-assigning lefty Paul Fry, catchers Steve Lerud and Marcus Littlewood, infielders Benji Gonzalez and Tyler Smith and outfielder Dario Pizzano to minor-league camp.
The series of moves left the Mariners with 51 players in major-league camp -- 39 roster players, 10 non-roster invitees and two players on the 60-day disabled list (pitcher Ryan Cook and Jesus Sucre).
