SEATTLE, Wash. — Director of Player Development Andy McKay announced today that 5 Mariners players have graduated from the CENAPEC program at the club’s Dominican Academy.
“We are very proud of our 2020 graduating class,” said McKay. “Each of these students dedicated themselves to our program both on and off the field, and in the process, inspired others who will be graduating in years to come. Thank you to both Walkyria Torres, Rene Gallegos, and the rest of our teachers on both our Peoria and Boca Chica campuses.”
The CENAPEC program is a high school equivalency program for athletes and adult civilians who didn’t graduate from high school (similar to the GED).
