SEATTLE, Wash. — Seattle Mariners President of Baseball Operations Jerry Dipoto announced today that the club has agreed to terms through the 2023 season with outfielder Jesse Winker. All 40 of the players on the Mariners, Major League, 40-man roster have now been signed through 2022.
Winker, 28, has appeared in 61 games this season, batting .214 (48x224) with 19 runs, 9 doubles, 4 home runs, 24 RBI and 38 walks this season. He currently leads the American League in walks. The left-handed hitting, left-handed throwing outfielder was acquired by Seattle, along with INF Eugenio Suárez, from Cincinnati in exchange for RHP Justin Dunn, OF Jake Fraley, minor league LHP Brandon Williamson and a PTBNL (minor league RHP Connor Phillips) on March 14, 2022.
