The Seattle Mariners are in on yet another trade.
They acquired 23-year-old second-base prospect Shed Long from the Cincinnati Reds on Monday and in exchange sent outfield prospect Josh Stowers to the New York Yankees as part of a three-way deal, according to multiple reports.
ESPN’s Jeff Passan was the first to signal the trade, though the Mariners-Yankees swap was just part of a headline deal that included right-hander Sonny Gray heading from the Yankees to the Reds.
Long was a Yankee for probably all of about 20 seconds before the Yankees flipped him to Seattle for Stowers.
